League of Romance Writers - The Emily

Timeline:

Contest opens: September 1st of each year at 1:00 AM Central Time

Contest closes: October 2nd of each year at 11:59 PM Central Time

All entries will receive a confirmation e-mail indicating receipt of the entry. If an entrant does not receive a confirmation e-mail before 11:59 PM central time October 6th, the entrant should e-mail The Emily Chair (Use the below email). Please double-check your spam or junk mail folders first, if you haven’t received your confirmation.

The finalists in each category will be notified via email on or about December 8th following the October 2nd deadline to enter.

All non-finalists in each category will be notified via email on or about December 8th following the October 2nd deadline to enter.

Following notification by the category coordinator, the top three (3) Finalists in each category will be listed on The Emily website, posted on the League of Romance Writers Facebook page, and tweeted on the League’s X account.

All judged entries and score sheets will be returned at the time of notification to finalists and non-finalists in each category.

The finalists will be given the opportunity to revise their original entry, based on the scores and comments of the First Round Judges, before their original or revised entry is sent to the Final Round Judges on or about December 15.

All 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners will be announced at The Emily Awards Ceremony on the Saturday, March 2, 2024

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners in each category will be notified via email and listed on The Emily website, posted on the League of Romance Writers Facebook page, and tweeted on the League’s X account.
