The Emily Contest is for all romance writers who are unpublished or have not published within three (3) years in the category they enter. There are six (6) categories available.
The Emily Contest provides the opportunity for unbiased feedback on a writers’ work by First Round Judges who are Published Authors, and Experienced Judges. The finalists then have their work read by Final Judges who are publishing house editors and literary agents.
The League of Romance Writers strives to help any writer advance in their writing careers and become published authors, no matter their writing level and The Emily Writing Contest provides a means to strive forward.
The Emily Contest opens each year for your 6000 word entries on September 1st.
Entries are accepted until 11:59 pm (Central Time) October 2nd.
