Our History

League of Romance Writers was established in 1981. It is a non-profit organization. Although romance focused, the League of Romance Writes was created for the purpose of promoting excellence in all genres of fiction writing. Located in Houston, Texas, the League of Romance Writers is group that welcomes all inclusive, diverse authors and members.

Education

The League of Romance Writers provides education in the craft of writing as part of the membership. With monthly education sessions, the organization attempts to assist writers on their learning journey as well as keeping them informed about the ever-changing publishing industry.

Our Goal

League of Romance Writers welcomes writers in all stages of their creative endeavors as they continue on their path to a writing career and, possibly, land on a bestseller list. It is the organization’s goal to help writers develop their writing skills within a safe and supportive environment.
